Your deluxe motor coach takes you through the great Central Valley of California to experience the scenic wonders of this magnificent national park. The grandeur of the great domes and pinnacles of Yosemite Valley awaits.

Regarded by many as the jewel of our national parks, a visit to Yosemite is a day-long adventure you won't forget. The rolling hills and meandering streams of prehistoric Yosemite were dramatically transformed into the colossal landscape of today by mighty glaciers during the ice age. Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United States, set aside Yosemite as the nation's first state park during the summer of 1864; it became a national park in 1890. Located on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada, the park is in a region of central California recognized for its unusual beauty. An early departure from San Francisco on board a luxury motor coach takes you directly through the great Central Valley of California. Following the Merced River, you'll climb the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountain Range as you enter the National Park.

While in Yosemite, you will see up-close many of the sights you've only seen on film or in books. Experience the colossal domes and pinnacles of Yosemite Valley, including Three Brothers, El Capitan, Cathedral Spires and Half Dome. Almost as celebrated as the rock formations are Yosemite's great falls. Upper Yosemite Fall drops 1,430 feet in one staggering fall, a height equal to 9 Niagara Falls put together. In addition to Yosemite Falls, you'll visit Bridal Veil Falls and Vernal Falls. The valley floor extends for 7 miles, with an average width of 3/4 of a mile, surrounded by sheer granite cliffs rising nearly 3,200 feet - truly a sight to behold! Plenty of time will be given to experience the scenic wonders of this magnificent park.
